RECORDS FROM HARD TIMES

The notes of Father Branko Sbutega are not mere records of time but rather the heart's reflections. Although these writings are not dramatic texts in themselves but rather newspaper columns, essays, and stories, each of them is, in its essence, a drama. It is the drama of a person profoundly experiencing the (un)weather of the time they find themselves in. These words must be spoken and voiced anew, imprinted upon the living human heart. Theatre opens its space to say this man's words from Boka, an art historian, intellectual, and above all, the parish priest of Saint Stasije in Dobrota, the last Catholic priest from Prčanj.
